About Us
Our Mission
At G&L, our mission is to craft beautiful, lasting accessories and apparel that do good for people and the planet. For 25 years, we’ve focused on using upcycled and recycled materials to minimize waste and protect natural resources. We choose to work with small, family-run factories—many right here in California—to ensure every piece is made with care while helping keep traditional skills and craftsmanship alive.
Do Good, Feel Good
- Made in USA: 80% of our production is sewn in California
- Fair Trade: Since 2024 we have been partnering with a factory whose mission is to empower individuals and communities to become free from poverty.
- Sustainability: Our recycled and upcycled fabrics have diverted over 100,000 lbs. of garments, plastic and fabric from landfills.
- Planting Trees: 160,000 trees planted to create permaculture food forests for struggling farmers in Africa.
- Partnerships: Working with family run sewing shops & artisans
Designer Bio

Meet Gypsy and Loic:
The husband/wife design team behind G & L Positive Goods.
We met in 1996 and have been designing together since 2000. Wow, twenty years of fashion, family and fun! We both attended FIDM and the Academy of Pattern Making and Design in San Francisco. Shortly thereafter, we began producing and selling our own clothes and never looked back!
We see fashion as a potent form of self-expression and we want people to feel their best when they wear our clothes. Along this journey, we brought two beautiful beings of our own into this world. As we considered the future for both our children and the planet, we were inspired to start making clothing that was natural, sustainable, and, of course, unique and fun. Though we’ve grown and evolved our brand since its inception, we’ve stayed true to these initial inspirations. We are so grateful that people around the country and world are resonating with our line and mission.
